Operator stations

HOME > PORT SOLUTIONS > OPERATOR STATIONS

We developed the Merford Cabins control stations ourselves and they continue to be produced in-house. This way we know for sure that we can offer you what we promise. This is important, because the process starts with the operator and the control station he/she occupies. A control station often is used 24 hours per day. In an ergonomic environment, crane operators perform better. This also reduces the chances of back and neck complaints and absence due to illness. Exactly what we are aiming for. Let us introduce you to our Ergoseat NG-H, Ergoseat NG-S and Heavy Duty Seat

Ergoseat NG-H

  • This seat is suspended from the cabin’s ceiling, giving the operator a clear downward view.
  • Perfect for QC, RTG and RMG cranes.
  • Can accommodate virtually any body height and posture.
  • Allows you to use your forearms for support and relieve your back and neck.
  • Mounting in existing cabins is dependent on roof structure and cable run.

Ergoseat NG-S

  • Suitable for many crane models, but perfect for applications requiring the operator to frequently look down.
  • Can accommodate virtually any body height and posture.
  • Allows you to use your forearms for support and relieve your back and neck.
  • Due to its floor mounting, the Ergoseat can easily be built into existing cabins.

Heavy Duty Seat

  • Suitable for many crane models in which the operator does not need to predominantly look up or down.
  • Damps vibrations due to its pneumatic/mechanical suspension system.
  • Stable sitting position, even under jarring conditions or rough weather conditions, due to a rail guide that only allows vertical movements.
  • Wide range of adjustment settings for chair, armrest and consoles.
  • Due to its floor mounting, the Heavy Duty Seat can easily be built into existing cabins.
